There's no money in patching the game and yet they keep doing it.

Treyarch: No no, it's your internet connection. No, it's not us, it's you. Yes, I am Vonderhaar and I have given myself 17 slots for my classes since I made the game. LOLOLOL. Idiots are paying me to...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

If you have enough people on your friends list, could you not try this in a private lobby by turning theater off? I may be misunderstanding you, but I don't believe a fully explorable 3D world complete...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

I may be way off but the bandwidth used by this game is very minimal for everyone. Host uses a bit more , but its still pretty small. The main issue I think is matchmaking and ping.

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

There are good points but I'm not so sure about the map already being rendered. If you open a video or graphic on a timeline whenever you make a change, regardless of what it is or how it effects other...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

I believe you are correct. it does use a minimal amount of bandwidth. let's say I have the the bare minimum speeds to send and receive information. what happens if my bare minimum speeds drop just a...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

Bandwidth isn't the issue. It's ping that causes lag and the more time spent rendering bits and sending them off for Theater Mode is time not spent handling the players in the lobby. The Host does it...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

I can't remember where I saw it or which game it was for but I saw some advice on disabling theater in game options. Since theater has no value to me, I always disable it. Does it help? MEH! Doesn't...

I think you need to add split screening to this as well.  I have said this multiple times, but the lag complaints started in Black Ops 1. Black Ops 1 introduced Theater mode, split screening and Elite....

One simple thing they can do which will make a difference straight away is make it so anyone who 1bars is booted out of the game. Any time there is a one bar player in a game it causes the connection...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

I wish there was some way to kick a bad host from the game. I hate getting into lobbies where everyone is two barring with constant lag spikes except the host and the host won't leave the game. I'd...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

It would do one thing for sure: Prove, or Disprove, all theories that the added features of the game (since BO1) are in part to blame for the exagerated* lag and "wtf issues" we have experienced (since...

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

Even if the results are determined to prove that Theater is not an issue nor are the other added features since Black Ops I we can at least start looking elsewhere for the problem. I don't care if I'm...

I said it so many times before, they need to just end matches if there's no host. The tolerance for bad hosts is far too high

Re: Is this experiment worth trying?

I'm in support this experiment out. Hopefully we can get some type of answer, since the Devs don't want to speak out on why we are suffer from these issues since BO1.
